Founder Marc David Lohse sheds light on the business and what makes its homes such notable examples of excellence. He begins with some history:“ I have been building homes for over 25 years. My career began in Indiana, where I worked for a high-volume production builder who was closing 12 homes a day in central Indiana alone. From there, I moved on to building custom homes in Indiana and then on to Colorado building timber frame, ultramodern, Colorado mountain style, modern farmhouse, and contemporary homes at all varying levels of cost and detail.
“ Marc David Homes was established in 2009, and the company’ s focus has always been on custom homes from the ground up and larger-scale remodels in Douglas County and surrounding areas of central Colorado. The business grew from a oneman operation to Dan Kennedy coming on board as a co-owner, and then over the years we’ ve added nine other employees as the workload and demand increased.
“ Dan also has a wealth of experience, having worked in the construction industry for the last 22 years. Starting as a project manager, Dan managed and oversaw the building of high-end custom lake homes in the heart of Minnesota’ s lake country. After moving to Colorado with his wife and twin daughters nine years ago, Dan shifted focus toward estimating, sales, plan development, pre-construction services, and site analysis. During the previous two years before joining Marc David Homes, Dan worked for a highend architecture firm. His eye for home design and organizational spacing strikes the balance of client vision and fitting within the budget.
“ We concentrate on full custom home builds of any style and extensive remodels. We offer services from start to finish of the entire process, from architectural design and preconstruction work through construction and completion of the warranty process after move in. We also offer full interior design services as well with our own in-house interior designers.
