The Horner signature
While each home is distinct, Horner Homes has developed a recognizable design DNA: classic Georgian forms reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. Roughly 90 percent of their projects are design-build, with Roger leading creative direction and Greg overseeing operations, permitting, and financials.
Even when working with outside architects, clients often request the unmistakable‘ Horner touch’, whether that’ s refined proportions, timeless detailing, or unexpected modern flourishes.
One standout project on Peachtree Circle, one of Intown Atlanta’ s premier streets, perfectly captures this duality. Originally a modest historic home and horse stables, the structure had been remodeled after an 1800s fire.“ We knew trying to replicate the original style exactly would feel false,” Roger says.“ Instead, we created a sleek, modern addition at the rear. The result is a dynamic living space with exposed steel beams and glass railings that frame incredible skyline views, all while preserving the home’ s historic street presence.”
In a poetic full circle, the architect on Peachtree Circle was the same collaborator from the company’ s very first project, proof of Horner’ s enduring professional relationships.
Building for generations
With 2026 marking Horner Homes’ 40th anniversary, the brothers remain deeply committed to the values instilled by their father: integrity, quality, and respect. They intentionally limit the number of projects they take on each year, prioritizing excellence over volume.
“ Our priority is always to create quality homes that strengthen our reputation and enrich the community,” Greg shares.“ We’ re constantly working to improve our processes and create a seamless experience for our customers.
“ Communication is key,” Greg adds.“ We stay connected not just with the original homeowners, but with second and even third owners of our homes. That ongoing relationship speaks volumes about our commitment.”
Both Greg and Roger live in the communities where they build, meaning their work shapes not only neighborhoods, but their own daily lives.“ We want to be proud every time we drive by one of our projects,” Roger says.“ These homes are part of our personal landscape.”
The brothers’ involvement goes beyond building. Horner Homes regularly sponsors local tour of homes events, supports schools, and participates in community initiatives, cementing their role as both builders and neighbors.
Looking ahead
Looking to the future, the brothers are exploring opportunities to bring their signature approach to new pockets of Atlanta, while refining internal processes to deliver an even more seamless client experience.
“ We pride ourselves on building homes, not houses,” Roger concludes.“ Our goal is to keep evolving, challenge ourselves creatively, and continue fostering genuine connections with our clients and communities.” ■
