Hello and welcome to the latest issue of Modern Home Builders. In our last issue of 2025, Bill Wilhelm, President of R. D. Olson Construction, shares some predictions on the multifamily sector in 2026, while Lauren Lerner talks the benefits of remodels. In our case study, we spotlight a project by Disbrow Iannuzzi called Baw Beese House, a special build that allows multiple generations of family members to safely occupy a place together or separately. This beautiful lakeside retreat includes glass corridors, oak rafters and dark shou sugi ban wood cladding – the clever design features mean that it is highly functional regardless of whether the volumes are being used as individual cabins or combined into a gathering place.
