“ Materials were selected for longevity- standing-seam metal roofing, cementitious siding, copper flashing, and impact-rated windows and doors- so the home could meet modern performance standards without compromising its historic character.
“ Design decisions were guided by respect for the original layout and spirit of the home. Key elements, like the kitchen location, were intentionally kept in place to preserve its historic flow, even when more contemporary layouts would have been easier.
“ The result is a home that shows its age in the best way, bright and white, but never pretending to be new, where you can still feel the stories of those who walked through its doors nearly a century ago,” he enthuses.

As with The Isle of Palms and the Coca-Cola home refurbishment, each CopeGrand Homes project is the result of ongoing collaboration between professional and experienced teams of talented experts. Bringing their perspective to a wider audience, Adam and twin brother Ben will be launching their construction-focused YouTube channel, This Grand House, in early 2026.
