When twin brothers Dave and Dan Nielsen founded Rose Bradley Homes( Rose Bradley) five years ago, they made a novel choice: they named the business after their parents. Not a surname, or a location but after Rosie and Bradley Nielsen themselves. The Utah-based company operates on a customer promise which promotes honesty and transparency alongside experience and craftsmanship.
“ We would never do anything to tarnish our parents’ names,” reflects co-founder Dave Nielsen.“ We intentionally named the business Rose Bradley for that internal accountability.”
Although a relatively new business, Dave and Dan each worked in production home building for almost 15 years prior to the launch of Rose Bradley.“ We ran regional home builders, working our way up until we both became presidents of sizeable companies. Dan was president of Hakes Brothers, which built homes from San Antonio, Texas, up to Albuquerque, New Mexico. I ran Cole West Homes here in Southern Utah. Emerging from the Covid period, we both decided we wanted to run our own company, so I went a year ahead of Dan, focusing on land acquisition and raising capital. We started with two projects in Cedar City: a twin home project and a half-acre project.
