residence almost as its own private
company, with Drew providing executivelevel oversight across vision, budget, schedule, design, and execution.
“ The homeowner shouldn’ t have to become a developer just because they want to build an incredible home,” Drew says.“ Our job is to lead the process, bring the right people together, anticipate problems, protect the original vision, and allow the client to actually enjoy creating something special.”
That experience is also supported by technology developed specifically around the way SkySail manages complex residential projects. The company’ s proprietary project platform gives clients and project teams a centralized view of schedules, budgets, documents, decisions, communication, and progress.
Leadership lessons
For Drew, the technology is not intended to replace the highly personal nature of development. It exists to make an inherently complicated process more transparent, accountable and enjoyable.“ Luxury shouldn’ t just describe the finished home,” Drew says.“ It should describe the experience of creating it.”
That philosophy reflects a broader evolution taking place within SkySail as Drew begins building not simply a portfolio of residences, but the team and infrastructure capable of carrying the company’ s standards forward.
Joining Drew is Evan Jones, one of the newest members of the SkySail team and someone Drew has taken a personal interest in mentoring. Despite being early in his career, Evan brings an uncommon drive and understanding of real estate. Drew sees his development as part of a larger responsibility: building not only exceptional homes, but the next generation of people capable of carrying SkySail’ s relationships, instincts, and highly localized knowledge forward.
