Across the homebuilding industry, a shortage of skilled workers is creating challenges for builders facing growing demand for new homes. From carpenters and electricians to plumbers, framers, and other skilled trades, finding and developing the people needed to build the homes of the future has become an increasingly important issue. Sarasota is no exception, with continued growth placing further pressure on the local construction workforce. Against this backdrop, the Suncoast Builders Association is helping to address the gap by introducing people to the trades, developing practical skills, and creating a pathway into careers in homebuilding.
