Sharon Bellamy, who co-founded Bellamy Remodeling with her late husband Bruce Bellamy, joins us to discuss the company’ s inception.“ Prior to launching our business, I studied accounting and business in college. Bruce and I, high school sweethearts, got married in 1966 as he was becoming a journeyman in the sheet metal trade. For the 12 years he worked there, Bruce was in a union and would sometimes go on strike, which made raising a young family difficult. During downtime, he worked with his grandfather, who was a builder. In 1975, we decided to take a gamble and establish our own remodeling business. Bruce started on his own, though he later hired his first employee, while I managed the books alongside a part-time job. By 1987, we decided that our business could finally afford to onboard me full-time, leading me to undertake various tasks from truck deliveries to job site visits. That same year, our son Greg
