That consistency has fueled Riddle Construction’ s expansion beyond the Willamette Valley and into the North Oregon Coast. What began as a handful of coastal projects has grown into a significant service area for the company.
“ Coastal construction is a different animal,” Riddle says.“ Wind, moisture, salt air; you have to understand the environment, the materials, and the long-term performance of the home.” One of the firm’ s most notable recent projects is a 10,000-square-foot Nantucketstyle oceanfront home, designed by Capri Architecture. Set on acreage overlooking the Pacific, the home was thoughtfully designed
to host multiple generations while standing up to the demands of the coastal climate.
Describing the home as‘ the highlight of his career’, Riddle says the project was the most intricate the business has completed.
