together, offer comfort and security, and reflect the joy of everyday living. The name Two Structures comes from the foundation and the frame: the strength beneath the beauty. When those are built right, everything else falls into place.
Purpose and commitment
Whether clients are looking for a home in one of Two Structures’ neighborhoods or want to build on their own land in Oklahoma, the company’ s mission is to create spaces that will be loved for years to come. From open kitchens that invite conversation and living rooms filled with natural light to porches made for sunsets, every detail is designed to make life easier and warmer.
“ I originally started out flipping houses back in the mid-2000s, but over time that became a pretty tough business,” begins Jay Evans, owner.“ There were just so many people doing it that it got harder to buy properties at the right price. So, I began transitioning into something a bit different. If I saw a vacant lot, for example, we’ d come in and build on it. We called that‘ scattered lot’ building.
“ I did that for a couple of years, and then gradually moved into developing within neighborhoods and doing this full time. Eventually, I made the transition into home building and have been doing this full time since about 2009. Today, our main differentiator has really become building energy-efficient homes.”
Indeed, every home built by Two Structures is HERS ® rated and designed with energy efficiency in mind, providing both comfort and lower utility bills. The team specializes in highperformance homes built with better materials, transparent pricing, and a proven process.
“ We’ re also starting to diversify into doing more customization and less speculative building,” Jay continues,“ and focusing more on building on other people’ s land. More recently, we’ ve moved into affordable housing, really out of necessity here in Oklahoma. Around 2022 and 2023, interest rates rose quite a bit, and that affected our position in the market. Over time, we’ d shifted from being an entry-level builder into more of a move-up builder, largely because of increasing costs. But as that move-up market softened, I started looking into affordable housing as a way to get back into that entry-level price point.
