Charlie’ s leadership philosophy draws from his previous experience in the finance sector. From his perspective, preserving the company’ s legacy requires disciplined financial stewardship, ensuring every decision supports both the quality of the product and the long-term strength of the business.
“ I studied accounting in college. I always had a strong interest in money and understanding the numbers behind things. My previous experience in consulting, helping set up ERP systems for large corporations, gave me a strong financial perspective within this business,” Charlie elaborates.“ Today, we utilize those financial principles to make sure we’ re making the right decisions and controlling our costs. Using that background and focusing on the numbers helps us decide what to include in our homes, what products we can offer, what’ s optional, and how we present those choices to the buyer. That’ s one of the most important things in home building. A lot of people with accounting and finance backgrounds manage homebuilding operations.
